Power Partners: Commonfig’s Newest Feature

Commonfig has recently updated the site in an effort to make it more user-friendly and in order to give you, the professional service provider, an opportunity to widen your base of contacts with whom you can build business relationships. Since it is the belief of those at commonfig that we can achieve more together than we can separately, we want to make it simple for you to find other professionals in your area with whom you might be able to collaborate. This is the reason behind our newest update, the Power Partners feature. There are several benefits to using this new feature:
  • Cross Promotion  When you form an alliance with another professional in a similar industry, you can work together to promote one another. For example, if you are a roofer and a house painter is running a special, you can promote this on your page. Some of your clients may need painting work done, and may contact your Power Partner. If you run your own promotion several months down the line, your Power Partner can return the favor by telling his commonfig followers about your special.
  • Collaboration   There are some times when you will need or want to collaborate with a professional in a related industry. As a freelance writer, for example, I have sometimes had to consult and collaborate with a web designer in order to complete a project for a client. When you have a Power Partner in a complementary field, working together is easy: Simply log into your commonfig account to contact her, using the site features to coordinate scheduling and other details.
  • Lead Referrals  When you have Power Partners that you trust, you’ll feel confident in referring your clients to them. If you are a dentist dealing with a patient with neck problems, for example, you want to have another professional that you trust that you might refer your patient to. If you have a reputable chiropractor as a Power Partner, you can easily set up a referral. Simply use the “refer professional” icon on your Power Partner’s v-card, which looks like an arrow, and send the referral to your client.
  • Boosted Credibility  Because service seekers and other professionals can see who your Power Partners are, your image and credibility can be raised. If a recently-engaged client is considering hiring you as her wedding florist, she can look at your profile and see that your Power Partners include caterers, a wedding planner and photographers. Because a Power Partnership implies trust, she’ll feel confident knowing that you are well-respected in your field.
To use the Power Partner feature, log into your account, and click on the drop down menu in the upper right corner. Choose your state from the drop-down menu, and a list of professionals in your area will come up. Clicking the plus sign will allow you to request a Power Partnership. If someone requests your partnership, you’ll receive an email asking you to confirm. The Power Partner feature is included with your free commonfig profile. Update your account today in order to utilize this feature and to enjoy the benefits of collaboration, referral, credibility and, most importantly, personal and business relationships with other professionals near you. If you are new to commonfig, sign up today to take advantage of this and other great features designed to help you meet other entrepreneurs and grow your business.
